Group Fitness Class Descriptions

STEP -  Still one of the most popular workouts around, the step class utilizes the adjustable platform to accommodate all levels of fitness. Participants move up, down, and around the step to achieve training benefits similar to running with only the impact of walking. Levels I, II, III.

ULTIMATE- ENERGY. The most energetic workout you'll ever have! Combines hi and low impact movements. Levels I, II, III.

SPINNING - The ultimate class for all ages and fitness levels. Use an adjustable stationary bike in a group environment but ride at your own level for the “ride of your life”! Water bottles required, towels required, padded bike shorts recommended. Class size limited, please sign up at front desk. Levels I,II,III.

CIRCUIT TRAINING - Step and body sculpting moves combine to give you the ultimate workout! Burn fat while you chisel and strengthen your muscles to stone!!! Levels I, II, III.

PILATES – One of the nation's fastest growing fitness classes, Pilates helps to strengthen and tone the muscles and increase body awareness by focusing on the development and strength of the core. Levels I, II and III.

YOGA - A highly energetic flowing Hatha yoga that emphasizes movement, breath, development of upper and lower body and core strength, as well as balance and coordination. Then followed by a deep, rejuvenating stretch sequence. Levels I, l II, III.

Power Yoga Flow – Yoga- flow is a quick-paced workout to improve physical performance and coordination, burn fat, tone muscles, build strength, and sculpt a powerful physique as you strengthen mind and spirit. Moderate to vigorous yoga moves in a steady rhythmic flow create strength, stamina, energy, endurance, core power, flexibility, balance, mental focus and heat. Sun salutations create heat and energy, leading into standing strength poses, moving into floor poses. Core/AB work, yogic breathing and vinyasa (half sun salutations between selected poses) infuse this vigorous practice. Modifications offered. Soothing relaxation concludes this power practice

 

Kettlebell Interval Workout - Kettlebelltraining is one of thebest methodsfor all-around athletic development, by increasing strength, endurance, agility, balance and core conditioning. This workout challenges both the muscular and cardiovascular system with dynamic, total-body movements. Burn fat and build lean strong muscles in one class!

ZUMBA – Ditch the workout…join the party! Working out and having fun are no longer mutually exclusive. Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat.

Water – The ultimate low impact workout! This class takes a traditional group exercise class into the pool for less stress on the joints. Class includes toning exercises for the entire body and the use of water resistant equipment. The class can be modified for all levels of fitness. L I, II.

Arthritis Water – Arthritis not required! Class includes non-impact movement and exercises approved by the Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Plus Program. Level I, II

Classic Splash! – This class is geared for participants 50 years and older to provide a cardiovascular workout to get within a target heart rate zone for this age group. This non-impact class includes toning exercises for the entire body and the use of water resistant equipment and can be modified for all levels.
